Default 2nd Best Single Servo Setup

What comes after the Hightec 1000SGT? I want to race my 5ive T and want to know other good options for single servo setup.

I like simple. If a double setup comes close to cost of a 1000SGT I may go with that. Is double easy to set up?

The double is not 100% fool proof
Yes they are doable and cost a little less than the 1000
But they fight each other sometimes if not set up right
The spectrum servos are cheeper and are a choice and you could grow into a double with them and I have heard that they fail which is bad because I have new ones sitting in a box that I have not installed yet
And I have one SG 1000 and it is great but at $550 and I have 3 cars soon to be 4 maybe way to much money for me this year
But they all have disadvantages so what would I do
Well I'm like you all I do is race and the stock servo does ok but is not perfect
And I am going to try the Specturm ones but this year has been a bad one for me racing and I haven't been 1/5 racing this year
And from the looks of it next year
There may be no place to race on the east coast
I have to travel 10 hours to race now but that may change powerjam may not be back is what I'm hearing
But back to second best
My choice is the spectrum servos but as I said I have not tried them yet
Just because of getting sick at the wrong time and buying a big commercial truck to make a camper /race going play truck out of and the economy going south this year sucks for me 1/5 scale racing wise
Canada may be the closest race to me next year got to remember to get passport
But I'd like to go west to pan for gold

The gold is here my friend. We pan all the time here in the gold country off highway 49.
I have been running a set of HiTec 5765's all summer with no problems. very fast and at $90 each it's a bargain. Plus they have a no ?'s asked exchange policy so if they( when they) fail they will send you another set.

Yes hitec has the best warranty in the business
But when they first started selling here they were junk
And needed it to sell them after a while
But for the last 15 or so years they are the best available

I have been hearing lots of good feedback on the Hitec D845 this summer, and have two in service now. One is the steering servo in my boys truck the other is throttle/brake in my truck, I don't have much time on them at this point so I'm hopeful they will hold up.

^^^I'm going with the new Hitec 840WP's for T/B next season. Already using the 1000 for steering. If I was just starting out, I'd try the 5ive-B radio tray along with two 845WP's for steering. The Hitec's are $100/ea and the performance specs are on par with the Spektrum's (which are on Dave's DoTD today).
