head gasket and porting

well since i have to replace my head gasket i was thinking about doing some lite porting and polishing on the case and the transition to the head. any pointers out there i would like to hear them i did find the one post in the baja fourm lots of great info but just putting the feelers out...

i have to say just cleaning the crank case really wakes up the motor if i only knew what i was doing i would play with the timing. the motor has loss most of the bog from a dead stop and now i can make the rear end wash out a whole lot easier thru the turn.
