Sounds like it's time to take a look at it and tear into it a little.Since it starts fine your clutch is not engageing when you pull the pullstarter,so probably is fine. It's only 8 bolts to get to the clutch though.

If you start your truck does it idle? Sounds like it's the brakes or a rock stuck in something..

ive had a quick look around , cant do much because of work at the mo, and it seems to have eased up , it stilll stops sometimes when i push it along the floor then frees itself.. the truck starts just fine and idle nicely and when i give it some gas it runs sweet on the work stand.. havnt tried it on the floor yet to scared lol.. will have a closer look the weekend.. but it does clatter like a bell when i push it so at the moment im lost.. im hoping its a stone some where as i was running it on gravel and tarmac..

Does sound to me you got a stone lodged in some where, 4 screws and the diff is out, you could do that and push the truck to see if anything is jaming.
Are you running the stock clutch bell ?

As you live in Kent do you go to Hop Farm event in september Dover bashers should be there they do a good display, should be there racing the losi this year.

Sounds like your just hearing the brakes move around and they are probably binding up and that's what stops it.
