Default What is wrong with the obr reed engine, will not install ? (Solved)

Just purchased obr 30.5 reed case motor, and it will not install properly.

Parts what i have:
Obr reed case engine
Vertigo 21T pinion
Vertigo 21t Losi 5ive Engine Mounting Inserts
Losi orginal clutch housing

The holes and inserts do not match.

What am I doing wrong here?

Solved
Use 21t inserts and 19t inserts

You need to use a CY flywheel cover or the DDM one. The Zenoah does not line up properly. Some guys just flip the motor spacer around to make it work with the Zenoah cover.

I tried the CY cover and holes were more off line.
Zen cover seems to be better but inserts do not match.

If you've tried the stock clutch carrier with a CY fan cover and it didn't fit something else is not right. Zen cover will not fit better since the chassis is designed around a CY motor. Maybe give it another try.

I really do not want to force those screws in place

That's interesting... The holes appear to be spaced closer together front to back yet centred side to side as they should be.
